Summary
Customers notice the SMEX Remote Install Agent service in some of their servers, but not all of their existing servers. The service is also Not Started and is set to Manual.

The SMEX Remote Install Agent service is used during install/upgrade process and only started during those time. After the installation/upgrade, the service will be deleted. 
In servers where the service remains,  the service may be marked for deletion so if you reboot you should see it gone. You may also delete it manually.
