Group based scan vs. device based scan in Worry-Free Business Security Services (WFBS-SVC)

This article describes the differences between the group based scan and device based scan in WFBS-SVC.

The supported Client Matrix for the scans are:

Administrators can now send the scan now or stop scan now command to selected groups.

  1. Log on to the WFBS-SVC console.
  2. Go to the Security Agents tab.
  3. On the left pane, choose the group that you want to scan.
  4. To scan the group, hover over the number of agents next to the group name then click on the menu icon (three vertical dots).

  5. Click Start Normal Scan .

To enhance usability and user experience, administrators can send the scan now or stop scan command by device instead of the whole group.

  1. Log on to the WFBS-SVC console.
  2. Go to the Security Agents tab.
  3. On the left pane, select the group where the device is located.

  4. Tick checkbox next to the Endpoint name to select the device.

  5. Click Scan > Start Normal Scan.

Audit Logs

To verify who triggered the scan, check the auditing logs.

For device based scan:

Go to Logs > Web Console Events > Endpoint Management.

Go to Logs > Web Console Events > Group Management.
