Synchronizing the AD Sync Client in your network with AD users in HES fails and you receive the following error under History:
||Sync failed||The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized
To resolve this issue:
- Log in to the HES console.

Go to Administration > Web Services & Tools and get the User Name & Service Authentication Key. If there is no key displayed, generate one using the Generate New Key button.

- Configure the AD Sync Client network settings.

Open the Active Directory Synchronization Tool. The Network Settings dialog box appears.

Enter the User Name & Service Authentication Key retrieved in Step 2:
- On the User Name field, enter the User Name.
- On the Service Auth Key field, input the Service Authentication Key.
