Clients with DLP agent installed experience issues executing Windows applications (e.g., Notepad, MMC, msconfig, etc.). Normal operations can still be be observed but there are instances where an error will appear. Uninstalling and reinstalling the DLP agent will not fix the issue.
Clients running with the following OS and DLP build are affected:
- Windows 7 SP1 x64
- DLP 5.6 build 1328
To prevent error screens from appearing when applications are executed, request the official hot fix from Trend Micro Technical Support.
Trend Micro recommends applying patches or service packs instead of individual hot fixes whenever possible.
The hot fix for DLP 5.6 Standalone (EN version) depends on Patch Build 1089. This patch must be manually applied from the web console before applying the hot fix.
Clients running DLP SDK 5.7 GM with Hot Fix 1085 or later will not experience this issue.
