A new and improved Outbreak Defense is introduced in WFBS 9.0
The following are the enhancements for Outbreak Defense in WFBS 9.0:
  • Administrators can manually enable/disable OPP for all Agents. This task is now also consolidated in a single window.

  • In WFBS 9.0, you can enable Outbreak Defense for Yellow Alerts, compared to the old Outbreak Defense where it is only triggered for Red Alerts.

  • The WFBS 9.0 OPP provides users with more functions:
    • Limit/Deny access to shared folders
      Setting access to shared folders
    • Block ports
      Blocking ports

      You can also set which ports to block.
      Limitations when blocking ports:
      • If the firewall of the Security Agent (SA) is not enabled, port blocking will not work.
      • The new OPP is only applicable to the SA and not for the Messaging Security Agent.
      • There is no exception list for "Blocked ports"
    • Deny write access to files and folders
