The following characters are prohibited as password:
  • Apostrophe (')
  • Quotation marks (")
  • Grave accent (`)
  • Tilde (~)
  • Caret (^)
The issue happens when the keyboard mapping of Full Disk Encryption 3.1.3 is changed from US-English keyboard to US-International keyboard.
This is already fixed in Full Disk Encryption 5.0.
As a workaround, do any of the following:
  • Use the on-screen keyboard to enter your password.
  • Press the SPACEBAR key after entering the keys mentioned above.
  • Change the password to remove the special character.
