  2. Click the Administration tab. On the left column, click Web Applications.
  3. Click Add Web App.
  4. Do any of the following:
    • If you are adding a web application that is not hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), select Web App and enter the following information under General Settings:
      • Web Application URL: This must be a publicly-available URL that you control.
      • Choose Subscription Type: You can select Standard, Advanced, or Enterprise depending on your product license. The remaining numbers of subscriptions available for your account are also listed here.
      • Description: Add a brief description of the web application that will help you to identify it in the list of web applications.
If the domain ownership can be verified immediately using WHOIS information, the web application will be manually activated within 24 hours.
    • If you are adding a web application that is hosted on AWS, select Web App hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and enter the information under General Settings:
      • Role ARN: The Role ARN value for the role that you created in AWS.
For information on how to create the role, refer to the following documentation: Generating a role for AWS scanning.
      • External ID: The external ID for the role that you created in AWS.
      • List Web Apps: Click this button to fetch a list of your web applications. When the list is displayed, select the option button next to the web application that you want to add to Deep Security for Web Apps.
Web applications without an option button are not eligible for scanning. You can click the Edit URL button to change the URL to a friendlier one, but it must be a valid URL in AWS.
      • Choose Subscription Type: You can select Standard, Advanced, or Enterprise depending on your product license. The remaining number of subscriptions available for your account is also listed here.
All web applications hosted on Amazon Web Services are enabled immediately.
  5. Review other settings before you click Add. In the confirmation window that appears, click OK.
