“Page cannot be displayed” appears on the web browser when using InterScan Web Security Virtual Appliance (IWSVA) in WCCP mode

Summary
You get the "Page cannot be displayed" error when accessing websites when the IWSVA is deployed in Web Cache Communication Protocol (WCCP) mode and LDAP user identification is enabled.
The address bar shows the following URL:
http://<IWSVA_HOSTNAME>:9090/$$$AUTH$$$?IP=10.1.3.37&forward=http://<WebsiteURL>/
Note: Non-IE browsers may encounter a different error message, but get the same URL.

The URL displayed in the address bar is used for user identification and may indicate the following:
  • Missing A record on the Domain Name System (DNS) server
  • Incorrect or not updated A record
  • Other DNS or network-related problems
To resolve the issue, make sure there is an A record for IWSVA's hostname or FQDN on the DNS server.
If the problem persists, contact Trend Micro Technical Support.
