Aside from the management web console, SSFE also has an advanced configuration user interface (UI) called the Supermode page. This article describes how to access the Supermode page and the configuration options available for this feature.
The Supermode page is a hidden feature that is not accessible through any tab or link from the management console.
To access the Supermode page:
- Log in to the management console using the SSFE administrator account: https://<SSFE_Server_address>:3443/login.html.
- After logging in, change the address to https://<SSFE_Server_address>:3443/supermode.html.
This page offers some advanced configuration options that the administrator can change to meet certain user and management requirements, make SSFE work on unique environments, or enable added features such as interfacing with social networking sites.
The Supermode page has two main tabs, the Team Folders tab and the Misc. Configuration tab.
Team Folders tab
This tab lists all team folders created by all SSFE users of the server including the team folder's current usage. The administrator can select the Plan assigned to each Team Folder using a simple drop-down menu.
Misc. Configuration tab
This tab is further divided into four parts.
- Domain Prefix and Email Login
This section has three (3) options that can be enabled or disabled.
- Enable Domain Prefix
This is enabled by default. This means Active Directory users are required to include the domain prefix in the username field when logging in to SSFE.
When enabled, the username format will be: domain\user_name.
If disabled, users can log in by simply using their "user_name".
- Enable Email Login
This enables users to log in using their email address. By default, this is disabled.
If enabled, users can use the format user_name@domain.com in addition to the normal login name format.
- Auto create Active Directory Email
This setting instructs the SSFE server to auto-create an email address for users that do not have an email address configured during the Active Directory Sync.
The auto-created email address is in the format: <login_name>@localhost.
- Enable Domain Prefix
- Share Link
This section allows the administrator to configure options to enable links to different social networking sites and email providers when users are creating Shareable Links. When enabled, an icon representing the social networking site or email provider will be visible on the create Shareable Link pop-up window. The lists of available options are:
- Embed in web page link
- Email link
- Gmail link
- Windows Live Mail link
- Yahoo Mail link
- Debug
This is available in servers with Patch 1 Hot Fix 1307 and higher. The feature offers a button to export debug logs from the server and save it in a compressed file.
- Java
Available in servers with Patch 1 Hot Fix 1307 and higher. It allows the administrator to enable the Java Applet. If enabled, users can upload and download whole folders and edit documents using local applications.
