To configure the synchronization, set IMSVA to use a parameter (hidden key) in imss.ini under the [pre-filter] section.
  1. Use SSH to log on as a root and access the command line interface.
  2. Navigate to the folder /opt/trend/imss/config and open the configuration file imss.ini using vi text editor.
  3. Add the following section:
    [pre-filter]
    recipient_sync_schedule=
  4. Enter the time when you want to synchronize LDAP data to Pre-Filter.
    Below are samples in setting the time for synchronization:
    • You want to synchronize at 1:00 AM and 3:00 PM, you need to type the following:
      recipient_sync_schedule=1 15
    • The following configuration means that IMSVA will synchronize the data at 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 5:00 PM.
      recipient_sync_schedule=9 11 13 15 17
Even if Pre-filter feature is not enabled, IMSVA will still  use this parameter to synchronize the recipients information.
