As a workaround, add the IDF processes into the white list of VRV.
  1. Open the c:\windows\system32\protect.ini file. This is the configuration file of VRV hook process vrvsafec.exe, which maintains the files and processes that will be protected/unprotected by VRV.
  2. Under the [unhookprocess] section, add the following IDF processes:
    • ds_agent.ini
    • dsa_control.exe
    • patch.exe
    • msiexec.exe
  3. Restart the server and install the IDF again.
