To manually update:
  1. Download the necessary scan engine file.
  2. Check the Domino server console to ensure that there is no running scheduled scan.
  3. Extract the engine under the Domino directory.
    For example, c:\Lotus\Domino.
  4. Open the ScanMail Update Database.
  5. On the left menu, click Virus Scan Engine.
  6. Double-click the corresponding platform for the scan engine.
  7. On the Scan Engine document, click Edit.
  8. Update the scan engine version.
  9. Attach the latest version on the Scan Engine field.
  10. Click Save & Close.
  11. Load SMDupd on the Domino server console using the command below:
    load SMDupd -realtime
