In the previous versions of OfficeScan, VSAPI (ntrtscan.exe) is used for file protection. As an enhancement, OSCE 10.6 SP3 Patch 1.1 uses AEGIS (tmbmsrv.exe) to activate the file protection of OSCE clients.
To enable this feature:
  1. Activate the Unauthorized change prevention service on the OSCE client.
    1. From the web console, go to Networked Computers > Client Management.
    2. Select Additional Service Settings.
    3. Enable the Unauthorized change prevention service.
  2. Enable the Protect file in the OfficeScan installation folder.
    1. On the web console, navigate to Networked Computers > Client Management.
    2. Select Privilege and Other Settings, and then click Other Settings tab.
    3. Tick the Protect file in the OfficeScan installation folder.
