Deploying DSA for Linux on Deep Security

To deploy the DSA on Linux:
  1. Import the Agent software package on the Deep Security Manager (DSM) console.
    1. From the DSM, go to Administration > Updates > Software > Download Center.
      The Download Center page displays the latest versions of all the Agent softwares available from Trend Micro.
    2. Select your Agent software package from the list.
    3. Click Import to download the software from the Trend Micro Download Center to the Deep Security Manager.
      A green check mark will show in the Imported column of that Agent upon completing the download.

  2. Export the agent installer from the DSM.
    1. On the DSM, go to Administration > Updates > Software > Local.
    2. Select your Agent from the list.
    3. Click Export > Export Installer.

    4. Save the Agent installer to a local folder.
  3. After you get the agent installer, transfer it to your Linux server or virtual machine (VM).

  4. Install the package using one of the following commands depending on your guest OS:
    • For RHEL, SLES, and Oracle Linux:
      rpm -i <path_to_package_name>
      rpm -i <path_to_package_name>
    • For Ubuntu:
      dpkg -i <path_to_package_name>
  5. Activate the computer or VM where you install the agent.
    1. From the Computers tab, select your computer or VM.
    2. Right-click the selected computer or VM, and click Activate/Reactivate.

  6. Double-click the computer or VM from the DSM console to check the agent status.
