Offline agents on Windows 2003 after upgrading Worry-Free Business Security (WFBS)

This article shows you how to troubleshoot agents that appear offline on Windows Server 2003 after a WFBS upgrade.

To resolve the agents' offline status:
  1. Click Start and type “services.msc” in the Run or Search Programs field.
  2. Press Enter to direct you to the Services window.
  3. Stop the Internet Information Services and ofcservice.
  4. Go to …PCCSRV\Web\CGI.
  5. Rename the following files:
    • isapiClient.dll to isapiClient.dll_old
    • isapiClientX86.dll to isapiClient.dll
  6. Right-click the isapiClient.dll file and then click Properties > Security > Edit > Add >Everyone > OK > Allow all permissions > Apply > OK to allow everyone to edit the isapiClient.dll file.
  7. Restart the following services:
    • IIS Admin Service
    • World Wide Web Publishing Service
    • Trend Micro Security Server Master Service
After a few minutes, client status should appear as “online”.
