"Unable to connect to the server" shows under the Update Status tab of OfficeScan (OSCE)

To resolve the issue, follow the procedure in this Microsoft article: Shared folder in Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows 8.1 cannot be accessed by using SMB version 1 protocol.
