“Not Completed” error message appears when Smart Scan Pattern update reaches 100% in Worry-Free Business Security (WFBS)

The error occurs because Smart Scan Pattern was not installed correctly. To solve this:
  1. Open cmd.exe using an administrator account.
  2. Go to the C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Security Server\PCCSRV\wss\ directory.
  3. Uninstall the wss service using the following command:
    AUInit.exe –uninstall –FRS
  4. Install wss service using the following command:
    AUInit.exe –install –FRS
  5. Go to Services MMC and check if Smart Scan Pattern service appears in the list to know that it has been successfully installed.
