Upgrading Virtual Mobile Infrastructure (TMVMI) 2.0 server and Secure Access to 2.1

Before performing the upgrade, make sure all the users are offline. Otherwise, the upgrade will fail. To forcefully disconnect all the users, you may consider stopping the server to perform the upgrade. It is also recommended to take screenshots of the server before doing the upgrade.

To upgrade TMSMW:

  1. Copy the upgrade.tar.gz2 file to the /gluster/upload folder in the TMSMW server.
     
    Contact Trend Micro Technical Support to get the upgrade package.
  2. Open a Terminal Server and use Administrator account to log in.
  3. Type "enable".
  4. Type "upgrade". Your server will then upgrade to the new version.
  5. Reboot your TMSMW server.
  6. Go to web console, click Servers, and then select the specific server. Click Start.

To upgrade TMSMW Secure Access:

  1. Copy the upgrade.tar.gz2 file to the /gluster/upload folder in the TMSMW Secure Access. You can create this folder first if it does not exist.
     
    Contact Trend Micro Technical Support to get the TMSMW Secure Access upgrade package. It is different from TMSMW upgrade package.
  2. Open a Terminal Server and use root account to log in.
  3. Type "enable".
  4. Type "upgrade". Your server will then upgrade to the new version.
  5. Reboot your Secure Access server.
