IWSVA 6.5 SP1 cannot connect to the Local Smart Protection Network.
To resolve the issue, setup IWSVA to use the Local Smart Protection Server (SPS):
-
Log on to the web console.
-
Go to Administration > IWSVA Configuration > Scan Method.
-
Select Smart Scan with Local SPS.
-
When filling out the "Primary Local SPS", follow this format:
https://$YOUR_LSPS_IP/ss
Use "https" protocol. Do not miss the "/ss" suffix. -
Save the changes.
-
SSH into IWSVA and telnet to one of the ports open on your SPS.
[root@iwsvasrv ~]# telnet <SPS_IP><port>
If telnet works fine, then you have successfully setup the IWSVA for using the Local SPS.
ICMP is disabled by default on Smart Protection Servers for security reasons, so telnet is the quickest way to determine if a SPS is reachable from IWSVA. -
If you need to check the ports set up on your SPS, log in to your Local Smart Protection Network and log in as root:
