Know the steps to remove an EAC agent for versions 1.0 or 2.0, or the EAC 2.0 server
- Click Start > Run and type “services.msc” in the search field.
- Stop the EAC Agent Service from the Services console.
- Remove the following folders:
- folder %ProgramFiles%\Trend Micro\Endpoint Application Control Agent
- folder %AppData%\Trend Micro\AcAgent
- folder %ProgramData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Trend Micro Endpoint Application Control Agent
- Restart the machine.
- Uninstall the EAC server from the Control Panel.
- Reboot the machine.
- Check the Services list on the System Configuration, and see if EAC services still exist. Open a command prompt and run the following commands:
sc delete "TMACServerService"
sc delete "TMACUIService" - Delete all files in %ProgramFIles%\Trend Micro\Endpoint Application Control folder.
- Reboot the machine.
In the event of an Error Code 1603, re-installation of the EAC server program will be needed. There is a possibility of conflict from existing files that causes this problem. The steps above will guide you through un-installation. For re-installation, refer to the following steps:
- Reinstall the EAC 2.0 server.
- If the installation fails, please send the following EAC server logs for analysis:
- %ProgramFiles%\Trend Micro\Endpoint Application Control\ACServerInstaller.log
- %ProgramFiles%\Trend Micro\Endpoint Application Control\Trend Micro Endpoint Application Control Installer.log
- %ProgramFiles%\Trend Micro\Endpoint Application Control\AcServer-Data
