'Smart Protection Server unavailable, please choose conventional scan' error appears when connecting InterScan Web Security Virtual Appliance (IWSVA) to Smart Protection Server (SPS)

The error message "Smart Protection Server unavaliable, please choose conventional scan" appears when trying to connect the IWSVA server to a SPS.

To resolve the issue:

  1. Go to the IWSVA web management console.
  2. Go to Administration > IWSVA Configuration > Scan Method.
  3. Select Smart Scan With Local SPS.
 

The SPS URL should end with "/ss".

For example:

http://*.*.*.*/ss
