Your logon process takes time when using OSCE 11.0's VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) plugin with Horizon View under the following conditions:
- Persona Management is used to synchronize user profiles in VDI.
- The OSCE client is installed (and prepared for VDI usage) on the master image for deployment to linked clones.
If real-time scan for the OSCE clients is disabled via the OSCE server web console, then the logon delay is much shorter.
The issue occurs because some VMware-related processes perform multiple Input/Output (I/O) operations during user logon. This triggers real-time scans of the files accessed. Due to the large number of files scanned, significant delays are experienced in the logon process.
Apply the OSCE_VSAPI_9.855_HFB1003 hot fix and exclude the VMware processes from real-time scans.
