When Anti-Malware is enabled on Deep Security Agentless mode, the Skype for Business with HDX RealTime Optimization Pack may encounter any of the following issues:
- It takes a long time to set up a call.
- Setting up a call may fail.
- Skype may experience performance issue.
This problem occurs because the HDX/Skype continuously writes to a TXT temp file in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\Citrix\HDXRTConnector\MediaEngine.Net.20160418.142902217 folder and the VMware Guest Introspection driver in the VM continuously picks it up, causing the application to wait, and sends the file to DSVA.
To resolve the issue, exclude TXT file extension from scanning. With this settings, Deep Security instructs the VMware driver to stop picking up TXT files.
