OfcCCCAUpdate.exe crashes after upgrading the OSCE server to version 11.0 SP 1 Build 2995

Summary

After the OfficeScan (OSCE) 11.0 server upgrade to OSCE 11.0 Service Pack (SP) 1 Build 2995, the OfcCCCAUpdate.exe process crashes. When this occurs, the management console cannot be accessed.

The Operating System (OS) application logs show the following error after an update is performed:

This issue is caused by a malformed ofcserver.ini on the OSCE server. To solve the error:

  1. Open the server's ...\PCCSRV\Private\ofcserver.ini file in Notepad
  2. Locate the [CCCA] section in the ofcserver.ini file.
  3. Use the content below to replace the original one:

  4. Save the changes to ofcserver.ini.
  5. Restart the OfficeScan Master Service.
  6. Check the OSCE server build number using the steps in the Checking the product version, build, pattern file and scan engine versions, and activation code of OfficeScan KB article.
  7. If the OSCE server build is lower than version 11.0 Service Pack Build 4150, then download and apply OSCE 11.0 SP 1 Critical Patch (CP) 4150 r2 from the Product Patch section of the OSCE Software Download Center.
    This will address the OfcCCCAUpdate.exe crash issue.
  8. Download and apply the following Critical Patches after applying OSCE 11.0 SP 1 Critical Patch (CP) 4150 r2 to improve the performance and stability of the product:
     
    Always apply OSCE Critical Patches and Hot Fixes in ascending build order.
