Learn what Marketing Message Letter (MML) is and how it is used.
Marketing messages are not spam. They are solicited, opt-in messages from legitimate businesses. Some administrators who experience users sending these messages consider them as spam and need to address this in their network. Other administrators do not want to block these messages because they are not spam. Different users may have different needs.
To address this, Trend Micro will tag these marketing messages as MML based on our solution mechanism. You may choose to enable MML option in Trend Micro messaging products to detect and block these marketing messages.
Meanwhile, a case can submitted if the mails were tagged as MML. If the mail (tagged as MML) reviewed be identified as spam, Email Reputation Service (ERS) will investigate and develop solution to detect the sample as spam.
