Setting to lock the Root Account if login failed in OfficeScan (OSCE)

There is a feature that enables the Root Account to be locked by # if login failed in OSCE.

To use the feature:

  1. Add or modify the following parameter in <OfficeScan Folder>\PCCSRV\Private\ofcserver.ini:

    -- ofcserver.ini --
    [INI_SERVER_SECTION]
    EnableLogonRestriction=1
    ----

  2. Add the restriction time for login failure in\PCCSRV\Private\ofcserver.ini:

    -- ofcserver.ini --
    [INI_SERVER_SECTION]
    AllowedLogonFailureTimes=3

To unlock the account:

  1. Use Trend Micro OSCEResetPW.exe to unlock the default root account. Refer to the following article:

    Resetting the console password in OfficeScan (OSCE)

  2. Unlock the other account from the OfficeScan web console:
    1. Navigate to Administration > Account Management > User Accounts.
    2. Click Enable to unlock the user account.
