Downloading mobile or tablet application from the local SafeSync for Enterprise (SSFE) server

Summary

Since the accessibility of Google Play is limited in China, some customers cannot download the SSFE app on their smart phone. They need to change the download path to the local SSFE server instead.

Depending on your device, follow the appropriate procedure below to download from the SSFE server.

Using an Android device

  1. Run the following command:

    sudo vim /etc/osdp/OSDP.cfg

  2. Add the code below into the OSDP.cfg file, and then save it.

    URL_ANDROID_APP => '',

  3. Restart the Apache2 using the following command:

    service apache2 restart

  4. Go the end user portal and click Get SafeSync for your computer or mobile device. The device's download path will now change to the local SSFE server.

Using an iOS device

  1. Run the following command:

    sudo -i
    vim /etc/osdp/OSDP.cfg

  2. Add the following code into the OSDP.cfg file, and then save it.

    URL_IOS_APP => '',

  3. Restart the Apache2 using the command below:

    service apache2 restart

  4. On the end user portal, click Get SafeSync for your computer or mobile device. The iPhone's download path will now change to the local SSFE server.
