This article discusses how to connect your agents to your locally installed Smart Protection Server (SPS) for Smart Protection Scan.

To connect the agent to your local SPS:
- On the Deep Security Manager (DSM) console, click Computer and select the target agent.
- Go to Anti-Malware and click the Smart Protection tab.
- Under the Smart Protection Server for File Reputation Service section, untick the Inherited checkbox.
- Select the option Use locally installed Smart Protection Server and add your server.
- Click Save.
If you have enabled the Web Reputation module, do the following:
- Go to Web Reputation and click the Smart Protection tab.
- Under the Smart Protection Server for Web Reputation Service section, untick the Inherited checkbox.
- Select the option Use locally installed Smart Protection Server and add your server.
- Click Save.
