Connecting the Deep Security Agent to your local Smart Protection Server (SPS)

This article discusses how to connect your agents to your locally installed Smart Protection Server (SPS) for Smart Protection Scan.

To connect the agent to your local SPS:

  1. On the Deep Security Manager (DSM) console, click Computer and select the target agent.
  2. Go to Anti-Malware and click the Smart Protection tab.
  3. Under the Smart Protection Server for File Reputation Service section, untick the Inherited checkbox.
  4. Select the option Use locally installed Smart Protection Server and add your server.

  5. Click Save.

If you have enabled the Web Reputation module, do the following:

  1. Go to Web Reputation and click the Smart Protection tab.
  2. Under the Smart Protection Server for Web Reputation Service section, untick the Inherited checkbox.
  3. Select the option Use locally installed Smart Protection Server and add your server.

  4. Click Save.
 
You may also apply this procedure through the policy level.
