Manually update the Endpoint Application Control (EAC) 2.0 Agent Deployment Tool in the OSCE Plug-in Manager to Service Pack 1 - Patch 1 Build 1550

Updating the Agent Deployment Tool to the latest version does not automatically upgrade existing AC agents. To install or upgrade the agents to the latest version, follow the steps in Installing Agents Using the OfficeScan Plug-In.

Before updating to 2.0.1550, make sure that the EAC Agent Deployment Tool is in version 2.0.1233.

EAC Agent Deployment Tool

Follow these steps:

  1. Modify the Registry.
    1. Log on to the OfficeScan Server and open the registry editor (regedit.exe).
    2. Go to registry key, "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\TrendMicro\OfficeScan\service\Aos\OSCE_ADDON_AC\1_1_2.0.1233".

    3. Right-click the 1_1_2.0.1233 key name and select Export to create a backup copy.

    4. Modify registry string values ClientVersion, PackageSize, Status and Version as follows:

      PackageSize=2659306
      Status=5
      Version=2.0.1550

  2. Edit Server.ini.
    1. Go to %ProgramFiles%\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV\Download folder.
    2. Backup the server.ini file with notepad.
    3. Apply the following changes:

      Path=product/enu/AddOnAcAgentSetup_x86.zip, 9031745
      Update_Path=product/enu/AcAgentPatchAgent.zip, 290977
      Version=2.0

      [Info_595_10000_1_5889]
      Build=1550
      Max=3.0
      Min=1.0
      PA_Version=2.0.1550
      Path=product/enu/AddOnAcAgentSetup_x64.zip, 10302919
      Update_Path=product/enu/AcAgentPatchAgent.zip, 290977
      Version=2.0

    4. Save the file on the same location.
  3. Copy the hot fix file to OSCE download folder.
    1. Go to %ProgramFiles%\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV\Download\Product\enu\ folder.
    2. Back up the following AC Agent files:
      • AcAgentPatchAgent.zip
      • AcSrvPatchAgent.zip
      • AcSrvSetup.zip
      • AddOnAcAgentSetup_x64.zip
      • AddOnAcAgentSetup_x86.zip
    3. Download and extract the AC Agent Binaries in the same folder in step 2, replacing existing files.

  4. Update EAC Agent Deployment Tool Plug-in.
    1. Log on to the OfficeScan WebUI and go to the Plug-ins tab.
    2. Verify if the EAC Agent Deployment Tool show 2.0.1550 is ready to Upgrade.

    3. Click Agree on the next page.

    4. Wait for the upgrade process to complete.

    5. Click Manage Program to deploy AC Agent version 2.0.1550 to target endpoints.
