SMEX 12.5 Repack 1 includes the following new features and enhancements:
Resolved Service Start Failure Caused by Microsoft Known Issue
This version of SMEX ensures that the "ScanMail_Master" service starts successfully on Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2016, when Windows Security Update KB4056895 or KB4056898 (for Windows Server 2012 R2), or KB4056890 (for Windows Server 2016) are installed.

Resolved Japanese and German Characters Display Issue that Causes the Characters to Display Incorrectly when URL Time-of-Click Protection Filter is Enabled
The email message contents do not display correctly if the original character set (charset) of the email message body is not UTF-8.
This version of SMEX ensures that the Japanese and German Characters are displayed correctly when the URL Time-of-Click Protection filter is enabled. This repack release merges Hot Fix 1302 that resolves the issue by enabling SMEX to use the original charset of the email message body to encode the modified body content after rewriting URLs.
The above mentioned Microsoft known issue is resolved in Windows Security Update KB4057401 (available for Windows Server 2012 R2) and KB4057142 (available for Windows Server 2016). Users should deploy proper Windows Security Updates to prevent "ScanMail_Master" service from failing to start.
In case you cannot proceed deploying Windows Security Update KB4057401 or KB4057142 to address the Microsoft known issue, you may need to reinstall the product via SMEX 12.5 Repack 1 installation package, to resolve the "ScanMail_Master" service starting failure that was caused by a Microsoft known issue in the previously released Windows Security Updates.
If you have already installed the product via SMEX 12.5 GM installation package, you may contact Trend Micro Technical Support for Hot Fix 1302 that contains URL Time-of-Click enhancement.
