Data Management Statement
Trend Micro contractually commits to specific processes when a customer leaves the service or the subscription expires. This includes deleting customer data from systems under our control.
If you terminate the Apex One as a Service subscription or it expires, Trend Micro will keep your data in a limited-access account for the duration of the retention period, to give you time to renew your subscription. During this period, Trend Micro will provide customer data eradication notifications, so you will be aware of the upcoming deletion of data. Customers can contact Trend Micro Technical Support to confirm the duration of the retention period for their subscription.
After the retention period, Trend Micro will proceed to delete the customer data, including any cached or backup copies.
Data Residency Statement
"Apex One as a Service is hosted on Microsoft Azure in Azure's Central US, West Europe and Australia East data centers. Europe customers will be enrolled in the West Europe data center and Australia and New Zealand customers will be enrolled in Australia East whereas the rest of the customer's data reside in the Central US data center. Apex One SaaS environments in different regions operate independently and are not interconnected for data privacy and sovereign considerations, and your data will always stay within the initial data center and cannot be replicated by other regions. Apex One ensures the complete separation of customer data through the data lifecycle.”
