Missing application control icon after installing Endpoint Application Control (TMEAC)

After installing TMEAC, you are unable to see the TMEAC icon in the taskbar's shortcut tray.

Symptoms

The ACAgent Service Log shows the following:

[2019-02-04T17:41:34.739453][UTC+0530][ERROR][03956][MONITOR ] Cannot create new account, SID, User Name or User Domain Name is empty. SID='S-1-5-21-4261414533-3662709285-3550341017-500', processOwner='', processOwnerDomain='' [AC::ProcessEvaluator::ProcessManager::createNewUserAccount][src\ProcessManager.cpp(681)]
[2019-02-04T17:41:34.739453][UTC+0530][ERROR][03956][MONITOR ] Couldn't add the new user '' to the DB. [AC::ProcessEvaluator::ProcessManager::getUser][

This only occurs on Virtual Machine (VM) clients.

Root Cause

The issue is happening because the TMEAC agent cannot get the login information from processes started by the Administrator. Without this information, the UI cannot start.

Resolution

To resolve the issue, install or upgrade to TMEAC 2.0 Service Pack 1 Patch 4.
