Installing Mobile Security for Enterprise on iOS devices

This article introduces the enrollment behavior of iOS 12.2, which is different from the previous iOS versions. The change request is not caused by Trend Micro Mobile Security (TMMS) for Enterprise, but by iOS itself.

This article describes the enrollment process and behavior of TMMS for iOS Devices starting iOS 14.x.

To enroll TMMS agent:

  1. Prepare the Apple device, and then install the TMMS security agent from App Store.
  2. Tap to open the TMMS security agent app.

  3. TMMS agent would prompt to allow the use of Location. Click Allow while Using App.

  4. Allow TMMS agent to send notifications on the IOS devices.

  5. Once shown, read the Privacy and Personal Data Collection Disclosure, and then swipe to the right to start using the app.

  6. Scan the QR code or manually enter the key to enroll the device. The device will automatically open a link in a browser.

  7. Tap Allow once the browser shows a pop-up message requesting to download and install profile(s), including CA and enrollment profile.

  8. Go to the Settings > General > Profile, then click Install on the top right of the screen:.

    It would indicate a warning if the TMMS certificate being used is Self-signed. It is also possible to use your company's 3rd party SSL Certificate.

  9. Once done, the details of the downloaded MDM Profile will be shown.

    The Signed status will show "Signed" if a 3rd-party SSL Certificate is used.
     
  10. Go back to the Home screen, open ENT Security App, and then confirm the connection status on the lower left side of the screen.

  11. Verify that the TMMS security agent has been enrolled successfully on the server console.
