- To enable this feature you need to install Hot Fix Build 2030 on SMEX 12.5 SP1 or upgrade to SMEX 14.0
- Users need to clear the browsing history from the web browser after applying this hot fix to be able to view this option on the ScanMail web console.
Follow these steps:
- Cancel the VA setting Blocking Protected file in Security Risk Scan Action tab:
- Add a special group which includes domain or address mailbox.
- Choose "Enter SMTP Address" for external domain or AD users/groups/contacts, then add the selected accounts depending on internal mailboxes format. Click Save.
- Add a Customized Policy in Attachment Blocking to block protected files which only applies to inbound mails.
Choose specific sender(s).Select "Accounts" and choose Anyone. Then select "Exclude Accounts", choose <Special Groups> created from the previous steps. Click Save.
- Choose "Block all password protected office documents and compressed files."
- Choose "Quarantine entire message" and "Notify", under "Select an action".
- Choose "Notify sender."
- Name it then click Save.
