Command "/etc/init.d/ds_agent" does not work in some platforms

Learn the reason why the "/etc/init.d/ds_agent" command failed to execute on the following platforms:

  • CentOS 7
  • RHEL 7
  • Oracle Linux 7

Due to change in design, the "/etc/init.d/ds_agent" script was removed in some platforms after the following versions:

  • Deep Security 11.0 Update 13 and above
  • Deep Security 12.0 Update 1 and above

Instead of "/etc/init.d/ds_agent", you can use the "systemctl" command. Below are some examples:

  • systemctl restart ds_agent
  • systemctl stop ds_agent
  • systemctl start ds_agent
