By design, Apex One will automatically uninstall third-party security products during agent installation to prevent conflict. However, in certain environment, you may want to keep third-party security products. This article will provide a solution for this use case.
This feature can only be enabled by installing a special hot fix, please contact Trend Micro Technical Support to obtain Apex One Hot Fix Build 8000 and follow steps below.
- Install Hot Fix Build 8000 on Apex One Server (On-Premise).
If you are using Apex One as a Service (i.e. SaaS version), request for Hot Fix Build 4038.
- Generate a new MSI package with ClientPackager ({Apex One Server installation folder}PCCSRV\Admin\Utility\ClientPackager\Clnpack.exe) after Hot Fix Build 8000 is applied and use it to install Apex One agent.
This package will not uninstall third-party security products.
To revert this feature:
- Installing any hot fix or patch with build number higher than 8000 can revert this feature (i.e. remove third-party security products).
- As an alternative, go to ({Apex One Server installation folder}PCCSRV\Backup\HotFix_B8000\) to restore those backup files.
