Standalone Customer Licensing Portal (CLP) based WFBS-SVC accounts except Japan customers have the option to switch to Advanced Mode UI.

 
Licensing Management Platform (LMP)-based WFBS-SVC accounts including standalone CLP-based WFBS-SVC accounts registered in Trend Micro Remote Manager (TMRM) currently do not have the option to switch to the Advanced Mode UI.
 

Before proceeding, make sure that the System Requirements are met before switching from Advanced Mode to Classic Mode.

  • Assign a unique policy to the root domain group as the only target
  • If a child group applies a policy that is different from the parent group, check the following:
    • Assign a unique policy to the child group
    • The assigned policy must have a higher priority than the parent policy

  • Do not assign any policy to the Server (Default) or Device (Default) group
  • Assign a unique policy to each manual group as the only target

To switch to the Classic Mode User Interface:

  1. Log on to the WFBS-SVC console, and click Policies.
  2. In the Policy Management pane, look for the Switch to Classic Mode notification at the bottom-left of the screen, then click Switch.

    If you are a CLP user and you cannot see the Switch to Classic Mode button, it means that your account does not have enough access privileges. You need to have Master Administrator role to perform this action.

    • The user who created the CLP account will automatically be the Master Administrator
    • You cannot add another Master Administrator but you can replace the user by modifying its account information.
    • Only the Master Administrator can manage user accounts and switch to classic/advanced mode.

    To verify if you are the Master Administrator, you may do the following:

    1. Log on to the Customer Licensing Portal.
    2. Go to Account Name > My account.
    3. Under Managed Services section, check your Worry-Free Business Security Services access privileges.

  3. When the Switch to Classic Mode screen appears, click Switch.

  4. On the Policies page, confirm that Policy Management section is no longer available.

To switch to the Advanced Mode User Interface:

  1. Log on to the WFBS-SVC console and click Policies.

  2. In the Policy Settings pane, go to the Advanced Mode Available notification at the bottom of the screen then click Switch.

  3. The Switch to Advanced Mode screen appears. Click Switch.

  4. On the Policies page, verify that Policy Management exists .
