Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • What happens when a rate limit is exceeded?
When a sender IP or recipient exceeds the TrendAI Vision One Cloud Email Gateway Protection threshold, the system returns a 4xx error code and temporarily rejects the email.
  • When will the gateway start accepting emails again?
Delivery resumes automatically once the message frequency drops below the limit. Most email clients following standard RFC protocols will automatically retry sending based on their internal back-off strategy.
  • Can I disable or bypass these rate limits?
Disabling these limits is generally not recommended as they protect your environment from domain attacks and spam. However, for specialized business cases, the TrendAI Vision One development team can evaluate requests for temporary bypasses.
  • How do I enable outbound protection for a trial account?
To activate outbound mail protection for a non-paid TrendAI Vision One account, you must either upgrade to a full license or contact Trend Micro Technical Support for evaluation.
