Root Cause Analysis

Trend Micro Deep Security Notifier registers with the system through WSC-related components.

However, Windows Server does not provide WSC-related components, so the registration of the Notifier will fail.

  • This issue affects Windows Server versions such as 2016, 2019, 2022, 2025, etc.
  • WSC-related components should be located under C:\Windows, (such as) wscisvif.dll, wscapi.dll, etc.

Conclusion

  • The WSC's display issue does not affect the functionality of the Deep Security Agent.
  • The Deep Security Notifier will display any detection events from the Deep Security Agent.
