Root Cause Analysis
Trend Micro Deep Security Notifier registers with the system through WSC-related components.
However, Windows Server does not provide WSC-related components, so the registration of the Notifier will fail.
- This issue affects Windows Server versions such as 2016, 2019, 2022, 2025, etc.
- WSC-related components should be located under C:\Windows, (such as) wscisvif.dll, wscapi.dll, etc.
Conclusion
- The WSC's display issue does not affect the functionality of the Deep Security Agent.
- The Deep Security Notifier will display any detection events from the Deep Security Agent.
