Root Cause
The issue occurs because the Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) rule requires a minimum agent version in order to work. Agents running older versions or other versions that do not meet this requirement will cause the incompatibility and triggering the upgrade recommendation.
Resolution
To resolve the incompatibility and clear the upgrade warning, follow these steps:
1. From the Server and Workload Protection console, go to Computers > Affected Endpoint and click on the error message to see the IPS rule that is causing the issue.
2. Once identified, on the affected machine, go to Intrusion Prevention > Assign/Unassign.
3. Search the IPS rule, go to the rule properties and check the "Minimum Agent/Appliance Version" required. Refer to the example below:
4. Upgrade the agent version of the affected endpoint to the minimum agent/appliance version or the latest.
