Unable to access the IPS/TPS from a web browser

Summary
Error messages can occur if the HTTP/S service of the IPS/TPS is in a hung state. This condition can be remedied by toggling the http/https service through the Command Line interface (CLI).

From the IPS:

conf t no sms (if unit is managed)

conf t server http / conf t server no http to toggle the service

conf t server https / conf t server no https to toggle the service

conf t sms (if unit needs to be re-managed)

 

From the TPS

Enter sms unmanage (if unit is managed)

Enter "edit" to enter configuration mode

Enter "gen" to enter general setting mode

Enter http enable/disable to toggle the service

Enter https enable/disable to toggle the service

Enter "commit" to commit the changes

Enter sms manage (if unit needs to be re-managed)

 

This should reset the HTTP/S service and allow the customer to log on through the browser once again.
