This log entry usually indicates an SNMP mode mismatch between the IPS/TPS system and the Network Management System (NMS). It is required that both systems have the same protocol enabled. The IPS/TPS devices supports both SNMP v2 and v3 or if required both at the same time.
Note 1: Be aware that changing the SNMP version on the IPS/TPS requires a system reboot. If possible, wait for a maintenance window to perform any changes.
Note 2: SNMP “Notification Contacts” require SNMPv2, and do not work when SNMPv2 is disabled.
