Before performing migration, ensure that you turn off the Disable Security Agent upgrade and hot fix deployment setting on the source Security Server. Do the following:
- Log on to the source Security Server.
- Go to Devices > Select a group.
- Check the status of the agents. It should be "Online".
Before using the migration tool, ensure that the licence is active, and not yet expired. The tool cannot perform migration if the license has expired. Follow the steps below to check the license status:
- Log on to the WFBS-SVC console.
- Go to Administration > User Accounts.
- Check if your account role is an Administrator.
To add, modify or delete users account, refer to Managing user accounts in Worry-Free Business Security Services (WFBS-SVC).
If you are already logged in and you cannot see your account on the users, it means that you are the Master Administrator.
- The user who created the CLP account will automatically be the Master Administrator
- You cannot add another Master Administrator but you can replace the user by modifying its account information.
- Only the Master Administrator can manage user accounts and switch to classic/advanced mode.
To verify if you are the Master Administrator, you can do the following:
- Logon to the Customer Licensing Portal.
- Go to Account Name > My account.
- Under Managed Services section, check your Worry-Free Business Security Services access privileges.
-
On the Worry-Free Business Security Services web console, go to ADMINISTRATION > Tools.
-
Under On-Premises Server Migration Tool, click the Download the Tool link.
Click the image to enlarge.
- Copy the tool to the source Security Server computer.
- Double-click On-Premises Server Migration Tool.exe to start the tool.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the migration. After migrating the settings, the Security Agents will perform an upgrade. WFBS-SVC cannot manage the Security Agents until the upgrade is completed.
