Specifications of Root account

  • Trend Micro Vision One creates the Root account upon provisioning.
  • The Root account is used to log on to the Trend Micro Vision One console from Customer Licensing Portal (CLP).
  • The Root account has the Master Administrator role and can access all Trend Micro Vision One apps and features.
  • You cannot edit, disable, or delete the Root account.

Adding an SAML account

  1. Configure SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) on Trend Micro Vision One.
    1. In the Vision One portal navigate to Administration >Single Sign-On > SAML 2.0 single sign-on then click Enable. Download Trend Micro Vision One SP metadata XML file.
    2. Navigate to your IdP portal, upload the Trend Micro Vision One SP metadata XML file, and download the IdP metadata XML file.
       
      Your IdP vendor should support SAML 2.0.
      Trend Micro can only guarantee support on the tested IdP providers and does not support other SSO technologies.

    3. Back to the Vision One portal, upload IdP metadata XML file to complete the process.
    4. Take Azure AD as an example of IdP.**snapshots.
      1. Log in to Azure AD.
      2. Create your own application.

      3. Set up SAML and upload Vision One metadata XML file.

      4. Download the metadata XML file and upload it to Vision One to complete the SAML Single Sign-On configuration.

  2. To add SAML account, go to the Vision One portal and navigate to Administration > User Accounts > Add Account. Make sure that the email address exists in your AAD.

Resetting account password

  • For Root account, please refer to the link.
  • For Local accounts:
    1. Click the account name.
    2. Reset and type a new password, or resend the verification email message.
  • For SAML accounts, reset the password through the managed account application.
