A zoneless trigger occurs when a TPS device registers a filter trigger match on a segment even though the filter causing the trigger is not enabled in that particular segment.

Asymmetric Network: An asymmetric network has multiple routes for incoming and outgoing traffic. As such, traffic takes a different route when entering or exiting the network. Symmetric Network: A symmetric network has a single route for incoming and outgoing network traffic. As such, traffic takes the same route when entering the network.
What is Link Down Synchronization?
Link-Down Synchronization, also called Sympathetic HA, allows you to configure the device to force both ports down on a segment when the device detects a link state of down on one of the ports. When Link-Down Synchronization is enabled, the device monitors the link state for both ports on a segment.
How do I view the throughput on the TPS?
You can view device throughput from the TPS CLI and the SMS device performance statistics.
How do I upgrade the TOS software on my TPS device?
You can download, import, or automatically update versions of the TippingPoint Operating System (TOS) for distribution to your TippingPoint device via the Security Management System (SMS) or the Local Security Manager (LSM). Only users with Super User access can perform these operations.
How do I restore the configuration from one TPS device to another TPS device?
A snapshot enables you to restore a device to a previously known working state. You can restore a snapshot to the same device or a different device. You can also export a snapshot and send it to TippingPoint Technical Support for assistance with troubleshooting or debugging the device. All snapshots are stored on the external user disk (CFast or SSD).
