Trend Micro PortalProtect for SharePoint (PP) 2.6 Critical Patch 1 for Patch 1 (B1072) has officially been released and the Critical Patch 1 for Patch 1 package is available on Trend Micro Download Center.For details, refer to the readme file.

Last updated: August 28, 2018 Information has recently been released about a set of vulnerabilities commonly referred to as Meltdown and Spectre that could be exploited at a hardware (CPU) layer on multiple operating systems including Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Apple macOS.   There are a few important pieces to note for Trend Micro customers:These are not vulnerabilities in Trend Micro products.Microsoft began issuing out-of-band security patches, starting on January 3, 2018, for Windows platforms and is requiring its customers to check compatibility with anti-malware products before installing this patch.Trend Micro's endpoint and security products listed below are compatible with Microsoft's January 2018 security patches.It is highly recommended that customers test any patch or solution mentioned in a non-production environment first before a wider deployment.At this time, there are no known in-the-wild exploits of either the Meltdown or Spectre vulnerabilities; however, there is a POC remote exploit for Spectre.  Trend Micro has released some out-of-band protection updates for this.Please read further for more information.  Looking for information on consumer Trend Micro Security products? Date of Initial Notification:  April 28, 2022Within the next 12 months (approximately one year), Trend Micro will be transitioning certain key certificates in various products due to vendor retirement and other technical backend issues. Due to some of the complexity of the changes - the application of a patch or hotfix on the customer side will be required to ensure completely seamless operation moving forward.=====The potential impact is that customers who do not update or patch before March 31, 2023, may experience issues receiving updates in the product after this time.=====The products and versions affected by this issue are listed below, as well as the minimum patch or build level required to ensure update continuity; but please note, Trend Micro always recommends that customers apply the latest update available which may resolve other critical issues such as vulnerabilities and compatibility issues.
