Summary
Trend Micro has received reports about an issue where users are unable to install security agents on their endpoints.
The following error would appear when executing the MSI installer:
"The wizard was interrupted before Trend Micro Apex One Security Agent could be completely installed.
Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again."
This is due to an issue on OS version detection that would cause the installer to misidentify the Windows version.
Trend Micro will perform out-of-band maintenance to address this issue on Feb 6, 2024 from 14:00 GMT+0 to 17:00 GMT+0.
After the maintenance period, please re-download and use the rebuilt installation package to perform installation.
Impact during maintenance period:
- Downtime is expected to be around 1 hour within the maintenance period.
- All endpoints with Security Agent installed are still protected during the maintenance period.
- Security Agent restart: No (no new agent modules will be deployed)
- Security Agent OS reboot: Not required for Security Agents are running build versions later than 10000.
