To use Java applet instrumentation or signature validation, Trend Micro recommends using "Deferred scanning" as the large file handling method.

Please do the following:

1. Log on to the InterScan Web Security Suite (IWSS) 3.1 for Windows management console.
2. Go to HTTP > Policies.
3. Click the policy name and then go to the Virus Scan Rule tab.
4. Under the Large File Handling section, select the Deferred scanning: deliver part of the page without scanning... option.
5. Click Save.
