Unable to log in to the Deep Security Manager (DSM) with active domain account credentials

This issue happens when the access to the Microsoft SQL is controlled through the Domain Controller.

Also, Deep Security fails to initialize when trying to use a Domain Account to log in to the Microsoft SQL database.

You are unable to log in to DSM most likely because there is no connection between the DSM and the Microsoft SQL Server.

When using a Domain Account to log in to an SQL Server, we do not recommend using Name Pipes as there are some known issues for this configuration.

To avoid this issue, make sure to select TCP when installing the DSM.

In case the DSM is already installed, do the following:

Open the dsm.properties file located in the [Install Directory]\webclient\webapps\ROOT\WEB-NF\ directory.
The default Install Directory is C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Deep Security Manager.
Look for the "database.SqlServer.namedPipe" parameter and set its value to "false".
Save and close the file.
