To manually update ISSS/TMSSS:

1. Turn off the ISSS or TMSSS schedule update
   1. Open the ISSS or TMSSS management console.
   2. Select Updates > Component.
   3. Uncheck  Enable Scheduled Updates.
   4. Click Save.
2. Manually download X MB smart query filter from ActiveUpdate, or you can ask Technical Support to provide X MB smart query filter.
   Note: In this case, let us say that the X MB smart query filter was generated from TBL_Version_X.
3. Deploy the Smart Query Filter to clients using your deployment tools (i.e. SMS, Bigfix etc.).
4. Deploy the TBL_Version_X to ISSS or TMSSS by using the existing pattern import tool:
   Important: Maintain the same version of 7MB Smart Query Filter on both client and ISSS before turning the schedule update back on. Make sure that the client can do an incremental update of the smart query filter normally.
   Integrated Smart Scan Server ( Windows )
   1. Copy TBLPtnImportTool.rar on the server, then extract it.
   2. Under the ..\TBLPattern folder, copy the 7MB TBL Pattern ( e.g. icrc$tbl.005).
   3. Navigate to the ..\WSS folder, then execute the WSS_ImportTBL.bat file.
   Stand-Alone Smart Scan Server (Linux)
   Note: These instructions need to be executed from a Windows computer.
   1. Copy the TBLPtnImportTool.rar on any machine that has the SSH/Telnet access to Smart Scan Server.
   2. Under the \TBLPattern folder, copy the 7MB TBL Pattern (e.g. icrc$tbl.005 )
   3. Open a command prompt, then navigate to the ..\TBLPtnImportTool\TMCSS folder.
   4. Type the command TMCSS_ImportTBL.bat <tmcss_ip> <root_password>
      where:
      Tmcss_ip = IP address of Smart Scan Server
      root_password = user root password on Smart Scan Server
      Example: TMCSS_ImportTBL.bat 192.168.0.1 password
5. Do a post-installation check on the server
   1. Go to the ..\pattern folder and ensure that the following are present:
      • <Pattern_Folder_Name> - This has the BF.PTN file
      • TBL - This has the uploaded icrc$tbl.xxx.
      • Keep.dat - This should only have one line containing the Smart Scan version and build information.
   2. Log on to the console.
   3. Make sure that the following display the TBL Pattern:
      • Integrated Smart Scan: Smart Scan > Integrated Server > Component Status page.
      • Stand-Alone Smart Scan:  Updates > Component > Component Status page.
        ISSS / TMSSS will generate the corresponding smart query filter on the server.
6. Turn on the ISSS or TMSSS schedule update.
   1. Open the ISSS / TMSSS management console.
   2. Select Updates > Component.
   3. Check  Enable Scheduled Updates.
   4. Click Save.
